As a Hawaiʻi Island maker or retailer, it’s powerful to know you’re not in it alone—you’re part of a vibrant business community that’s here to offer support, and our team is honored to be a part of it. We’re here to support you however we can!
Michelé’s current focus is on strengthening relationships within our business community and facilitating more sustainable business practices among our affiliates and members.
Born on O’ahu, Michelé lived abroad in Indonesia and traveled extensively at a young age thanks to her parents’ careers, which instilled in her a lasting appreciation for culture, community, and sustainability. She returned to Hawai’i in 2005 after completing her undergraduate degree to be closer to family. Michelé is a proud mother of two. She is a diehard paddler and proud member of Puna Canoe Club (#cheehoo).
Michelé holds an MBA from University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Speech Communications from Graceland University. She has, more recently, been working to empower individuals, families, and students through social services, career and family counseling, and human resource work with organizations like Hawaiʻi Community College, EPIC ’Ohana, and within Hilo’s Keaukaha community. Michelé has most recently taken a position with P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc.
Michelé is passionate about empowering others and firmly believes that the “think globally, act locally” approach is the best way to tackle some of the biggest issues facing our communities. She is proud to be part of the local economy movement and excited to work toward creating real and lasting prosperity for Hawai’i.
