Michelé Padayao, Co-Founder

Michelé’s current focus is to strengthen relationships within our business community, plan and promote member events, and facilitate more sustainable business practices among our affiliates and members.

Born on O’ahu, Michelé had the opportunity to live abroad in Indonesia and travel extensively at a young age thanks to her parents’ careers, which instilled in her a lasting appreciation for culture, community, and sustainability. She returned to Hawai’i in 2005 upon completion of her undergraduate degree to be closer to family. Michelé is a proud mother of two and both she and her husband are diehard paddlers and proud members of Puna Canoe Club (#cheehoo).

Michelé holds an MBA from University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Speech Communications from Graceland University. Most recently in her career, she has worked to empower individuals, families, and students through social services, career and family counseling, and human resource work with organizations like Hawaiʻi Community College, EPIC ’Ohana, and within Hilo’s Keaukaha community.

Michelé is passionate about helping and empowering others and firmly believes that the “think globally, act locally” approach is the best way to tackle some of the biggest issues facing our communities today. She is proud to be part of the localist movement and excited to work toward creating real and lasting prosperity for Hawai’i.
